The cruel man then pulled Khylaan to his feet and shoved him in the direction of the dungeons, as the man that held Aikahla pushed her in the other direction.

Geez, Moon elves are such stupid superstitious cry-babies they’d even banish their own kin just because they’re not born under their ‘sacred moonlight’.”Īikahla stared in shock as Khylaan sat with his black hair pulled and his face full of defeat. “See? He’s a shadow elf born on an eclipse – a lunar eclipse elf, to be exact. The hooded man scoffed and pulled Khylaan’s head higher. Suddenly it appeared as if a veil had been pulled away from Khylaan and his hair turned ink black. “K-Khylaan… what are they talking about?” “So this boy’s name is Khylaan? Interesting… You do realize he’s not actually a regular moon elf don’t you?”Īikahla scrunched her brow in worry, “What no he’s just-…” she looked to Khylaan for support, but his face only showed utter defeat. In a cruel moment, the dark figure was pulling Khylaan’s head up by the hair while supporting his boot against his back. Having no hands to support himself with, he fell face first into the dirt.

The man stopped and turned, and suddenly kicked Khylaan to the ground. “Wait, where are you taking Khylaan? What are you doing?!” Aikahla suddenly called in fear. We are ordered to keep him in the cellars for now.”Īnother one of them nodded and suddenly started taking Khylaan in another direction. “We won’t need Tenebris until the shadow demons are awakened. They passed through several walls and deeper into the dark grounds until they stopped inside a courtyard. Her eyes darted throughout the grounds, searching for answers as to where they were or who their captives were. They didn’t answer, but instead grabbed the two forcefully and began walking them into the castle grounds. “Who are you people?” Aikahla asked suddenly. They hefted each of the Siliecen up and out of the cart, glancing occasionally at the two young elves. The men came to the back of the cart and began unloading it without a single word. They had stopped in front of some sort of old ruined castle in thicker part of the wood shadows looming over the old crumbled stone and overgrown paths. Presently the cart stopped and the dark figures got out. “I… I don’t know I…” he fumbled over his words and his eyes shifted nervously. Khylaan bit his lip and looked down at the Siliecen who were still out cold. He nodded, “Do you have any clue why they’d kidnap us… or how they even found us?” “No, as far as I know they’re just dark mages like you said.” They sat next to each other and began to converse in barely audible whispers. He nodded understandingly and sat up, nudging his way toward her. He looked up at her and she mouthed to him to keep quiet, and then motioned her head toward the front of the cart where several dark hooded men sat with their backs turned toward them. Slowly she managed to sit up and she watched as Khylaan awoke. The sun appeared to have just risen a few hours ago, and the sky was clear. She looked out the open back of the cart and saw a dirt path surrounded by a lightly forested grassland. She saw Khylaan lying at the other side of the cart, hands also bound, as well as Naersenya and two other young Siliecen also in the cart, all their hands bound. Slowly she opened her eyes and her vision cleared. She listened, and heard the clattering of hooves over a rough path. She shifted her arms, but found that they were bound behind her back. Aikahla felt herself bump and thump in the back of cart.
